The Conjuring is a Supernatural
Horror Thriller movie set in 1971and is based on true events. Paranormal
investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren work to help a family terrorized by a
dark presence in their new home. The deeper the Warrens delve into the
farmhouse's history, the clearer it becomes that this spirit has a murderous
agenda, and that no one will be safe until it is driven back into darkness.
Idea -
Using the outline of the story I could
incorporate the paranormal aspects and different enigmas used in the movie to
show a female experiencing a number of events which are linked to a special doll
given to her from her deceased grandmother who was secretly a witch.
Sinister (2012)
 Sinister is a Supernatural Horror Mystery Thriller movie
in which a true-crime writer Ellison finds a cache of 8mm home movies films
that suggest the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial
killer whose career dates back to the 1960s. The deeper Ellison investigates
the disturbing case, the more he begins to fear he has stirred an ancient
evil that won't rest until it has claimed his entire family.
Idea -
Using
the outline of the story I could incorporate the discovery of a mysterious locked
box which is opened and releases something disturbingly evil which continues to
trouble a family until it receives what it desires.
Shutter Island (2010)
 Shutter Island is a Psychological Drama Thriller Mystery
set in 1954, U.S. Marshal
Teddy Daniels and his new partner investigate the disappearance of a
murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is
presumed to be hiding nearby. During their inquiry, the two encounter a web
of deceit, experience a hurricane and become involved in a deadly inmate riot
that leaves them trapped on the island.
Idea -
Using the outline of the story I could incorporate
the investigation aspects with a suspicious murder in a secluded town which leads to more
bodies being found and a web of lies being spun until someone lets slip what
really is happening.
The Hunger Games (2012)
 The Hunger Games is a Adventure Sci-fi Thriller in
which Katniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger
sister's place in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death in which
two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random
to compete. Now in order to survive the game and
emerge the victor, this young combatant must put all of her skills to the
ultimate test.

Using the outline of the story I could incorporate
the post-apocalyptic society and dystopian future Hunger Games is set in with government corruption
which leads to courageous teens trying to over-throw politics.
